Found a home for it at my Daughter's place. Her cheapie router fried itself.

Return it if you can. LOTS of complaints (24% 1 or 2 star on Amazon) about non-working units & TERRIBLE "service" from Netgear. :oldfogey:

FWIW... from a later look (that I did when I bought this beast), Netgear fixed all the reviewers issues with firmware updates. I cannot speak to their support or lack of same, because I've never needed it with other Netgear routers I've had. In fact I have a pair that have 'lifetime' warranty support.
