Trump voters were surprised and alarmed to learn that Obama could win reelection with scant support from people like them, and have reacted with the Trumpian primal scream. I like that.

I'm convinced that there are lots of people trapped in Trumpland that are horrified at where his campaign has gone and will vote their conscience once alone in the booth - the new silent majority.

Well, Hal, that's kind of my fear too - except I fear that Trump has become so toxic that some (many? I hope not!) folks won't admit to a pollster that they support him but might do so in the privacy of a voting booth.
I don't really think that will be the case, but I suspect that the actual vote results may not be quite so bad for Trump as the polls show now.
