Well... Look how I'm spending my Friday... - spacescape - 09-30-2006
YUCK... The bathtub drain would not drain very quickly resulting in a dirty tub very quickly... So, I borrowed my friends compressed air contraption to help plunge out the drain... Filled the tub up a little bit... Wrapped a wet towel around the overflow... Cranked it up to 135 PSI and shot the compressed air in several short bursts of air... I worked on it for about 10-15 minutes and it drains great... I even clean out a bunch of hair (There's where it all went)...
If I had old drains I WOULD NOT try that compressed air contraption he loaned me. Worked great.
Now to help clean the bathroom so my wife or I can bathe our son in the AM.
If it wasn't dark tonight already (only 8:00) I would of cut the grass...
God, I need to get out more...

Hey, I just finished stripping the last of the wallpaper off the room in our bath where the shower and toilet are. Tomorrow it's scrub down the walls one last time, spackle, then prime. After that it is re-seal the shower and hope that the shower door installers call on Monday. I need to work in a grass cutting this weekend, too.
BTW, there is a special place in Hell just waiting for my builder since he didn't seal the walls BEFORE he put up the wallpaper. Then, since the builder's wife didn't like the first pattern of wallpaper they installed, he installed a second layer right over the first. Aaargh!

I love my little Porter Cable compressor too
I got the 6 gal pancake model on clearance last year for $90 !
I save the big compressor for really big blow jobs !

I'll join the ranks: My condo building is switching from a no-name Micky Mouse cable company to a big-name Micky Mouse cable company. The guys finished rewiring my apartment about an hour ago and I am in the process of resetting my TiVo so it will recognize the new channel line up.
This is of the utmost importance because I will be out of town next week and CANNOT miss the season premiere of Lost!!!!
No wonder I'm single...

I just scrubbed down my deck stairs with a mixture of TSP and bleach. I slipped and fell last Sunday and I still have a humongous and very ugly bruise on my butt and a large patch of nasty scraped skin on my arm. The steps are slippery when wet, old mold. Couldn't believe how much crap came off today.
Tomorrow I paint with some grit mixed in so I won't bust my a$$ next time it rains here.

$90!!!??? That's crazy... I paid around $250.00 for my 6 Gal Pancake @ 135 PSI... However, it came w/ a finish nailer and a brad nailer... I know I could of got the accessories cheaper at Harbor Freight but I borrowed the PC Finish Nailer from my friend and I had to make sure I had the one I knew worked.

Hey blooz, that "old mold" sounds like what I found behind the caulk in my shower that I spent last weekend scraping out. I'm letting it get really good and dry before I seal it back up.
It is sad. The highlight of my week was finding, ordering and receiving a shower head adapter on-line that would convert my old style shower pipe from an inside thread to an outside thread so that now I can get one of those cool new Rainfall shower heads. That is IF I ever get the shower stall resealed.

Those of us of a certain age probably shouldn't talk about the things that get us excited. it's liable to discourage the younger folk.
