Parallels question - DaviDC. - 09-30-2006

For some dumb reason, I installed XP Pro over Win 2000 Pro in Parallels. Now I want to ditch XP & go back to 2000. What would be the easiest way to do this? Reinstalling the Windows apps is not a problem because I have 'em all on CD.

You do know you can have multiple VMs, right?
Just create a new VM for 2000.

Re: Parallels question - Jimmypoo - 09-30-2006

does XP use significantly more RAM than 2000?

Re: Parallels question - DaviDC. - 09-30-2006

XP just sucks all around. It uses a lot more disk space, there's a pop-up for every action you make & it just seemed slower. I made a new VM, reinstalled 2000, then deleted the old one. Now if I could just get a printer to work in it I'd be happy.

Is there a problem getting printers to work in Parallels OSes? What about networking?

well, under VPC, Win2K was far snappier than XP FWIW.
