Video camcorder help? - wowzer - 10-01-2006

Does anyone have a recommendation for a video camera that is:

small (palm size)
image stabilization
$200-$300 dollars
tape (digital) or hard drive (which is better)?
mac compatible (imove)

TIA

I just got one of these. ~ $300. Top rated on Consumer Reports. The auto iris is not great (a bit jumpy), but manual is fine and otherwise, I've been pretty happy. Lotsa ports!

Jonny,

Does the JVC work well with iMovie? I have a ZR10, and it works great with iMovie. My sister is looking for a camcorder, and I figured to do more research for her. I bought my ZR10 about 5-6 yrs ago, and it's holding up great.

JDC- I'll watch for Dell deals...

Thanks.
