Is RealPlayer really this bad? I used to think that the "...buffering...buffering..." jokes on Slashdot were exagerations. Holy cow does it suck.

I heard most of the interview on my way to work. He is certainly doing some promo work for his new book. Is he going to do a book tour also?

He's already doing a book tour. I saw him in Philadelphia on Saturday at the Free Library of Philadelphia. He spoke non-stop for an hour and I could have easily listened to another hour. Then a 20 minute Q&A followed by a book signing. The crowd was really large and the line for the book signing snaked through the halls of the (large) building. I left so I can't guess how long people stood in line, but some of them must have waited an hour or more.

Set the buffer preference as high as it will go...it helps a lot. But yes it's a heap o junk.
