Anyone using Digital Performer here? - steveroberts - 10-02-2006 Hi Friends, I'm a new Digital Performer user (v. 4.1.2) and have some questions about loop management: I've got a large number of Apple Loops on the computer. Can these be used in DP? If so, how? Loops are quite easily accessible in GarageBand. What is the best way to manage loops in DP? Thanks for any advice or suggestions on this. DJ Re: Anyone using Digital Performer here? - prof - 10-02-2006 I believe you have to drag the Apple Loops into the Soundbites window of DP. Then you can audition the loops from there. Not nearly as convenient or as flexible as using these loops in GB but it can be done. If you want the same kind of ease that GB provides with Apple Loops then you need to use Logic (Express or Pro). Re: Anyone using Digital Performer here? - Joseph C. - 10-02-2006 Prof is correct- you need to enter the loops into the Soundbites window. You can use the "Chunks" feature to create sub-sequences with different loop combinations. I have several templates set up this way to avoid reloading the loops and the combinations. |
