Unclaimed Paypal payment. - jimbrady - 10-03-2006

It's this $8 item I need for my kid's birthday, and the seller says he's not receiving the payment. Paypal confirms it was sent to the correct address.

Anyone got any wisdom?

Retract payment if you can and ask the seller to give you the correct address.

Paypal confirms it was sent to the correct address. The address this guy keeps telling me to double-check.

Could be the person has a personal account. If you funded it with a CC and are positive the address is correct, the seller simply doesn't want to upgrade to premier and pay the fees. He's required to according to PayPal and ebay rules, however.

Forgot about that. If the seller mentioned that they accept paypal, they must accept both forms of Paypal, Credit Card funded and Bank funded payments.

Sometimes the seller has to "accept" the payment from you by going to the PP site and his account and checking "accept"...or the payment goes unclaimed and unsent

Is there a place that has succinct information about how to use PayPal? Like, savvy tips?

Awhile ago on this forum, someone suggested opening up a separate checking account just for Paypal, to protect your financial life from getting messed up. Then more recently paypal started having a credit card.

I used to use PayPal and eBay 5 or 6 years ago, but had some bad experiences with them and quit.

The same happened to me the last couple of weeks. I have a Premier Account and someone tried to send me payment twice, but it never showed up. She was using the correct address and everything, PayPal even told her it was sent. It never arrived. On the third try it came through. I don't know what was going on, still haven't figured it out.
