Flash Drives mounting as blank CD-R's? - blusubaru - 10-05-2006 It's generally with the new SanDisk Cruzers. A student will plug them into one of the new intel iMacs and it will mount on the desktop with a blank cd-r image. Then the finder asks what the user would like to do with the cd, "ignore, eject or open". Any idea what causes the computer to think it's a cd? Can't say from experience, the students are not inactive long enough at the iMacs. Re: Flash Drives mounting as blank CD-R's? - anonymouse1 - 10-06-2006 Rusty- Say a little more--what makes a bad USB hookup? Do I have to run a cable directly to the onboard USB port? Have you got a link or anything on how I can fix this? Thanks! Also, some USB devices are just built bad. BGnR |
