I guess that means cyberian outpost is really gone, then.

Fry's Electronics has owned the company Outpost for several years now, however they apparently did not have control of the frys.com domain -- it was controlled by their ISP operation. Or something.

Cyberian Outpost has been gone for years, since well before Outpost went into bankruptcy and were bought by Frys. It was inevitable that Frys would eventually absorb the remnants into their own store identity. Only surprise is that the Outpost name has lasted this long.

Good ol' Cyberian Outpost. Used to order goodies from them back in the early days of the internet. Very Mac-friendly those jedis were. They also had a really funny ad campaign at one point, right before they got bought out.

If Fry's doesn't allow you to choose online and offer local pickup, then the site is fairly useless. I hate prices that differ on the web and brick & mortar.

Ah, the old days of free-overnight-for-everything from Outpost. I wouldn't be surprised if I, personally were responsible for their going under, just because of all the cheap junk I bought from them because I could get it shipped free. One inkjet cartridge? One cable? Hey, overnight that sucker!
