Should Twitter be banned? - Drew - 03-02-2017

Well, at least during work?

"Academy President Cheryl Boone Isaacs said both Brian Cullinan and Martha Ruiz, the two PwC accounts responsible for mixing up La La Land with Moonlight for Best Picture, will no longer be involved with the Oscars in any way. Boone Isaacs cited Cullinan's "distraction" of tweeting a photo of [Emma] Stone just minutes before the flub as the reason for the error, according to the AP."

It is an extremely dangerous and impulsive and distracting THING.

I dont Twit..I barely even text because of the same reason..so much chance for misunderstanding stuff..small little thoughts typed on tiny and eventually annoying keyboards..and then folks getting ALL RAMPED UP AND OBSESSED with likes and shares, and responses...Trump is, most likely, completely absorbed and mentally dominated by the whole thing - spends his day with Twit thoughts..wanting to do it so bad..and when doing it..tripping out and distracted by the results..

I think the whole concept is way to scary..It's a very scary thing..really is.

He probably needs CPAP to get a good night's sleep so he can concentrate.

I'd say Emma Stone is a distracting thing.

jdc..i dunno..it's a tough thing. Twitter has been dropped by a lot of high profile folk because they were wasting all their creative energy trying to come up with brilliantly worded shortness..

the distractions these days are kind of screwy because they re in your pocket all the time..People who become President have a lot of rules and restrictions placed on them..security clearance..who they can talk to about what, communication limitations..advisers who, in the past would advise against doing this or that..don't appear on this show or event or whatever..now it's wide open..

I think there is a very real weirdness, danger, recklessness to it..and Trump isn't the only who gets sucked into this thing..lot of questions..yah, of course,,,he's not capable of controlling himself..ill just say..more to come..for sure

There are many times when I'd like to return to the pre internet era. Many times.

No, people will always find ways distract themselves. The issue is there was someone on the job screwing off.

I think they should double or triple the fines for hands on cell-phone use, including texting.

There is a no cell phone use at the daycare/preschool my partner is director at. 3rd offense is firing. They are there to watch and teach the kids. Now, on break outside, that's OK.
