Found a 2009 Mac Pro upgraded, little help ASAP - Kraniac - 03-02-2017 I just looked at an upgraded 2009 Mac Pro 6 core Xeon 3.46ghz 32 gig of ram 512k nVidia gt120 1T hardrive Guy was asking $870 and he stopped at $750. Help, does this feel high for a 2009 upgraded to its current specs?? I'm in a parking lot waiting for you guys : ) Re: Found a 2009 Mac Pro upgraded, little help ASAP - rjmacs - 03-02-2017 Meh. Based on ebay, doesn't seem like a steal at $750. Fair, but not great. Re: Found a 2009 Mac Pro upgraded, little help ASAP - GuyGene - 03-02-2017 Already 8 years old, I'd hold off. But, that's just me... trust ye gut instinct. I think. Re: Found a 2009 Mac Pro upgraded, little help ASAP - Kraniac - 03-02-2017 I'm feeling that too but he's also offered to backpedal it to 10.6 For me, which I need. I'd prefer to pay less tho Anyone else?? What's my target? Re: Found a 2009 Mac Pro upgraded, little help ASAP - Kraniac - 03-02-2017 GuyGene wrote: Yeah, mentioned that to him. Price seems pretty average from my recollection of a few months ago. Re: Found a 2009 Mac Pro upgraded, little help ASAP - Kraniac - 03-02-2017 Just checked EBay and most of these comparable Machines are selling for more Are there'd any upgrade kits that are shaky? Should I ask him what kind of kit he used? Memory to look out for? Re: Found a 2009 Mac Pro upgraded, little help ASAP - N-OS X-tasy! - 03-02-2017 The price seems fair. Do you want the bargain or do you want the computer? Re: Found a 2009 Mac Pro upgraded, little help ASAP - ka jowct - 03-02-2017 I've heard that the 3.46 processors run very hot. I'd probably go for a 3.33, in fact most likely will, when it's time to get another Mac Pro. Otherwise the price is not bad, with 32GB of RAM. Re: Found a 2009 Mac Pro upgraded, little help ASAP - Kraniac - 03-02-2017 Anyone have any comments on the 3.46ghz heat issues? |
