no smoking in railway, govt building etc and in a year no smoking in bars,hotels etc.
I am mazed the French would ban this terrible habit. I'm glad, tho

Without reading the article, I would have thought that since smoking had generally been a fashionable thing to do, and France/Paris are widely viewed as being fashionable as well that the two would not easily be separable.
I didn't know that France was in fact rather proactive with such health issues.
