If you're sticking with the Airport Extreme ecosystem, QuickerTek would like to show you something - Zoidberg - 03-03-2017 Article at AppleInsider (link) gives some background. I'll be moving on (looking at you, eero) if Apple has indeed gotten out of that market, but QuickerTek has some upgrades and options if you want to stick with the venerable Apple Airport Extreme. ![]() An aside: Separated at birth? ![]() Re: If you're sticking with the Airport Extreme ecosystem, QuickerTek would like to show you something - jdc - 03-03-2017 Do peeps really change their wireless networks that often? If it aint broke, then dont fix it? Re: If you're sticking with the Airport Extreme ecosystem, QuickerTek would like to show you something - Robert M - 03-03-2017 jdc, Nopes. I'm willing to bet that most people use the networking hardware provided by their ISP and don't think about purchasing their own equipment at all. Even then, if the equipment fails, they aren't likely to by their own router. They'll call the ISP, troubleshoot the issue and, if necessary, have them replace botched piece of equipment. That's what I do. You can even leave the provider wifi active if you want -- I left my AT&T router wifi active for a year before I got around to disabling it. I love AirPort. Music, printers, and backup drives are all connected in my house. ![]() Re: If you're sticking with the Airport Extreme ecosystem, QuickerTek would like to show you something - Zoidberg - 03-03-2017 It's also good to know a bit and do research ahead of when an item will be needed, given that you'll likely need to upgrade equipment at some point.
