The NFL is putting the fun back in football.

On Tuesday, the league announced it will relax rules on celebrations.

Bring on the fade-away jumpers, snow angels, and group dances.

Examples of celebrations to be allowed under the new guidelines:

» Using the football as a prop after a touchdown
» Celebrating on the ground
» Group demonstrations

The relaxed rules aren't a free for all. Offensive demonstrations, celebrations that are prolonged and delay the game, and celebrations directed at an opponent, will still be penalized, the letter said, in order continue "sportsmanship, clean competition, and setting good examples for young athletes."

In short, three-pump twerking is still a no-go.

The celebrations never bothered me. It's a game, not a latin mass. Put a few common sense limits on it to keep things moving and play ball.

They could replace the PAT with a point for celebration. The refs would be judges.

I can only imagine what it will be like getting into an NFL game this year, after the Manchester bombing? In Chicago you already have to get in line an hour and a half early and they practically to a full body cavity search on you. What next full MRI body scans.

It will be a nightmare.

Pretty sure the UK "unfortunate expression of dislike" took place in a public area. Many venues may rethink securities in their public areas now. It's a rather normal expansion of protection of life.
