Ultrabrite toothpaste - freeradical - 08-25-2017 It says "Clean Mint" on the tube. Don't believe it. It tastes like Sambuca. :barf: Re: Ultrabrite toothpaste - N-OS X-tasy! - 08-25-2017 Sambuca? I'll take two, please! Re: Ultrabrite toothpaste - NewtonMP2100 - 08-25-2017 .......but only $1..... Re: Ultrabrite toothpaste - BernDog - 08-25-2017 I use it all the time. Usually it's some sort of "ok" mint, but I had a tube recently that was wintergreen, which I hate. It's made by Colgate, so I think it's just seconds - whatever they have extra of to get rid of. You pay your buck and take your chances, I guess. Re: Ultrabrite toothpaste - NewtonMP2100 - 08-25-2017 .....it is one of the brands still left over from way......back and it got good reviews for users and product reviewers [ Ultrabrite is actually made by Colgate-Palmolive ].......with what the other toothpaste companies, Colgate, Crest, etc. charge for toothpaste these days [ sometimes $2.50 or over for a small tube - Marvis charges over $4 for a tube ]...... ......it is one of the toothpastes that is still a bargain at the $1 store...... the other choices are: Pepsodent [another old brand - much, much older ] AIM Close-Up Aquafresh or much smaller sizes for Colgate/Crest .....and Ultrabrite has the largest size, 6 oz for $1....... Pepsodent, AIM are 5.5 oz Close-Up is 4 oz Aquafresh is 3 oz .....so you get the most bang for your buck.......at least you have a choice as Ultrabrite had 'clean mint' and 'cool mint' flavor........ .....Gleem, another 'old' brand was owned by Procter & Gamble and they discontinued it in 2014 but 'revived it recently as.....'Crest Fresh and White'....... Re: Ultrabrite toothpaste - Ombligo - 08-25-2017 I was quite happy with Aim until I needed to go to the sensitive type. That stuff never seems to go on sale. I now get it in three packs of Colgate Sensitive from Amazon, saves a little bit but still about $3/tube Re: Ultrabrite toothpaste - NewtonMP2100 - 08-25-2017 .....yes, they charge a lot for the sensitive toothpaste, especially Sensodyne, and found the Colgate sensitive tends to be the cheapest..... Re: Ultrabrite toothpaste - Lew Zealand - 08-25-2017 We use Ultrabrite. Teeth haven't fallen out. OK, yet. Re: Ultrabrite toothpaste - NewtonMP2100 - 08-25-2017 .....have used Ultrabrite too since only $1 and like Pepsodent, Aim, Aquafresh, it is fine for me....for $1 not too picky......as long as it cleans the teeth..... Re: Ultrabrite toothpaste - Ombligo - 08-25-2017 If you want truly cheap, can live without fluoride, and don't mind the blah taste - plain old baking soda will do just fine. It is used throughout the world as a toothpaste by people who can't afford the tube stuff. |
