Used Automator for the first time today- - mikebw - 10-27-2006 And it was great! I had a couple hundred files named 'Copy of DCN_xxxx' and I wanted to remove the 'Copy of ' portion of the filename. Just opened up Automator, selected the Finder tasks, picked the 'rename' function, then picked what files I wanted to modify. Set it up to replace all instances of the text 'Copy of ' with a blank field ''. It was fast and worked just like I thought it would. That is all. You may now return to your regularly scheduled programming. |
