Studio 60 ... leaving a TV near you soon. - Jp! - 10-29-2006 ? http://www.foxnews.com/story/0,2933,226092,00.html Re: Studio 60 ... leaving a TV near you soon. - Baby Tats - 10-29-2006 I can't say that I am too surprised. It is near impossible to support a 3 million dollar budget when the show isn't even in the top 50. Too bad for Mathew Perry as I I thought he was one of the surprise highlights of the show. Am I the only one who thinks that Sorkin's dialogue is too smooth, no one I know really talks that way. Re: Studio 60 ... leaving a TV near you soon. - iaJim - 10-29-2006 Sorry to hear that. I really enjoy the show. Re: Studio 60 ... leaving a TV near you soon. - ArtP - 10-29-2006 I like that show, too bad. I was impressed with the last show when DL Hugley's character took Perry's character to the Improv to check out the Stereotypical Black comedian (anybody watch Comicview on BET?). DL predicted his routine to a "T" but I liked the twist where Perry sees the hidden talent of the next comic, who is bombing on stage but has potential, and DL gives him his lecture and his "shot" after the show. As was stated in the article linked above, weak content overall but it is interesting enough to build a good show in the long run. Seems to be lots of room for character development and interaction. Too bad it may go away. Re: Studio 60 ... leaving a TV near you soon. - Kramerica - 10-29-2006 I've been enjoying it as well. I'm not sure most people even know what the premise of the show is. omg America is as dumb as I thought - enrico7300 - 10-29-2006 I guess we were laughing by ourselves. I thought Studio 60 was (is) one of the best produced, interesting, and meaningful shows on network television today. I hate it when television breaks up with me :-) Re: Studio 60 ... leaving a TV near you soon. - lafinfil - 10-29-2006 Too bad - this is one of my few must see shows this fall. I don't find the dialog too smooth or too smart but then again I have worked with intelligent creative folks my whole career and these people seem normal to me unlike the typical TV writing we get - 5th grade humor and pause for the laugh track. I can't believe people actually watch "dramas" like CSI Miami David Caruso is just a plain terrible actor or is directed very poorly - his character can't even say "I'm going to the john" without slowly removing his shades, looking thoughtful, and the then speaking sideways - and talk about unbelievable dialog. Oh well - at least we still have Law & Order Re: Studio 60 ... leaving a TV near you soon. - Filliam H. Muffman - 10-29-2006 It is a shame, My Name Is Earl, Heroes, and Studio 60 were the only NBC shows I have watched this fall. The local NBC affiliate is so hard up for programming, they are showing reruns of CSI: Miami during primetime. Re: Studio 60 ... leaving a TV near you soon. - dmann - 10-29-2006 Sorry to hear that- I have really enjoyed it so far but I guess it will ease some of my guilt over watching too much TV. ![]() http://forums.macresource.com/read/1/186999/187023#msg-187023 DM Re: Studio 60 ... leaving a TV near you soon. - Jack D. - 10-29-2006 Rumor also has it that all watchable TV will soon be replaced by ads anyway... |
