Whats your fav way to make hard boiled eggs? - mattkime - 04-09-2018
I'm attempting the paleo diet and I'm replacing my morning oatmeal with a pair of hard boiled eggs and some fruit. Steaming eggs for 15 min on the stovetop has worked well for me so far but I'm trying to work toward something a bit more convenient. I bike to work and transporting eggs...I can do it, but I'd rather not. I thought I might figure out a way to boil them at work.
Any tips?

Set the alarm clock 10-15 minutes earlier and eat breakfast at home.

My wife has been buying them pre-boiled and peeled from the grocery store lately. A little pricey (6 for $2.19) but WAAAY more convenient.

.....they have the new, no fuss egg cookers where you can stick 6-12 eggs in them and they make them without a timer........

We bought one of those rapid egg cookers for xmas -- its by far the easiest way to hard boil eggs. I put them in the kids lunches, peel first then put in a little hard plastic containter. Easy peasy.

6 minutes in my Instant Pot. put a cup of water in the bottom, the eggs of a strainer, seal it and go -- perfect every time. The pressure also gets between the egg and the shell, separating the two. The shell just peels away cleanly and easily. You can do 1 or a couple dozen in the same 6 minutes.

boil the egg in the evening, eat next day at work. A boiled egg will last a long time not refrigerated.

Yeah, what space wrote. I do a dozen at a time
