SOLD: 2011 MacBook Pro 13", 16 GB, 256 SSD, New Battery and MagSafe board, slow to charge - space-time - 01-06-2019 EDIT: item is spoken for, as soon as I get payment I will updated the title. This is my wife's MacBook Pro, 13", model 2011 It has 16 GB RAM (I think it is Crucial, I am not 100% sure but I can check if you care). It has a REFURBISHED Crucial M4 SSD, 256 GB. I can install a new SSD for an extra fee if you want, we can negotiate. The machine stopped charging a few months ago. I thought the battery was bad, it had 1400 cycles after all. I bought a new OWC battery, that did not solve the problem. I replaced the MagSafe DC-IN board, still no luck. No, the charger is not the problem. I have 3 of them. All are good. I did zap PRAM and reset SMC. I think I did all I could. The machine will charge very slowly, it would take several days to charge from 0 to 100%. It can be used if plugged in, and if you accidentally unplug it, it works fine on battery for several hours. But charging is a pain. it is not practical as a mobile machine. If you can use it as a desktop machine, or use some parts, then this is the machine for you. I suspect the Logic Board is bad, so repair is not cost effective for me. All other parts are in good cosmetic and functional shape, taking into account it is from April 2011. Also the machine had a shell on at all times except when I did upgrades or repairs. No major scratches. There is a ding or two, as you can see in these pictures. And the list is slightly bent since it does not close flush on the left side. We noticed this about 6 months ago and of course no one in this house knows what happened. I suspect one of the kids may have picked it up from the lid and bent it. Large size pictures, please click. I will boot the machine up and post System Information soon. I don't know what to ask for it... $250 + actual shipping cost? if that is too much, make an offer. on eBay I see prices from 300 (working but with less RAM and old battery) to $729 for one with 1 TB SSD. No smokers, no pets, new FAN installed last Summer. https://imgur.com/a/NJ0cw45 The OWC battery box contains now the Apple Battery with 1400 cycles, I plan to recycle the battery, I do not intent to ship this with the machine, unless you really need it. It would be a pain as I would need to ship it separately. The machine will ship in the original box. I think I also have the original RAM in there. I will try to ship it with blue covers installed, I don't know if it would fit in the box. I can try. No promise. EDIT soon to add system info.
