Tax question - Does she file? - Ombligo - 02-23-2019 My mother had no taxable income, but she did sell her condo (tax exempt), so her return shows no income and no taxes owed. Is there any reason to even file a return? She hasn't in years but I wasn't sure if the house sale changed anything. She's 99, so I don't think she has much to fear in any case.
