Tip: finer control increments for Mac brightness and volume - Psurfer - 03-04-2019 New to me: Shift + Option while raising or lowering brightness or volume. Gives 1/4 step increments vs standard mac keyboard whole steps. Finally! gives me that in-betweeny screen brightness level (above the last always too-dark one) that I've wanted all this time on the iMac, especially for nighttime use when the room is dimly lit. I could even use a few more brightness dimming steps down at the low end (instead of me squinting during those late hours when I should Not be reading on the iMac...), but this extra level of control is pretty good and a most welcomed improvement.
