The price of a genuine versus a "compatible" toner cartridge - freeradical - 06-17-2019

The genuine Brother cartridge is $109.99.

The Monoprice generic is $10.99

That's insane. I expect the generic to be cheaper, but by a whole order of magnitude?

I've only used 5 generic carts in my Brother laser, but so far never a failure. LyleH

at least twice in my computer life i bought a new inkjet because it was considerably less expensive than buying replacement ink.

I thought the printer cartel solved that by only providing "starter" cartridges with new printers?

The generic toner cartridges in our HP Color Laser Jet work fine. A new set of "Genuine" HP toner cartridges costs more than a new printer.

Gray, where do you get 15 carts for $8, now $17.

I live a mile from 123injets, or whatever name they also go by on the internet. And I have to pay Around $50+ for 3 black and 2 each or 1 each of the color for my Office Jet 6700
