Wireless mouse. Bluetooth or 2.4 gHz? - wurm - 06-21-2019 My wife is looking for a new mouse to use at work and wants something without wires. Beyond that, she doesn't seem to care. I'm debating between these two. https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0148NPJ3W/ref=crt_ewc_img_huc_2?ie=UTF8&psc=1&smid=ATVPDKIKX0DER https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07MT4Q4R9/ref=crt_ewc_img_dp_1?ie=UTF8&psc=1&smid=A3877BQZZON4K6 Thoughts or other strong suggestions? Thanks. Re: Wireless mouse. Bluetooth or 2.4 gHz? - mattkime - 06-21-2019 I think the main benefit of 2.4Ghz is that you don't need to go through bluetooth pairing. That said, no wrong answers here. Re: Wireless mouse. Bluetooth or 2.4 gHz? - sekker - 06-21-2019 I'm using a logitech 2.4GHz. Seems to use far fewer battery changes, seamless connection. Uses a USB port on the computer, I just put the tiny dongle on the wired keyboard Re: Wireless mouse. Bluetooth or 2.4 gHz? - wurm - 06-21-2019 Thanks. That dual option alone seems to favor the no-name one. Simple is good. Re: Wireless mouse. Bluetooth or 2.4 gHz? - C(-)ris - 06-21-2019 Bluetooth, hands down. Cheap mice are cheap. Stick with the Logitech. Re: Wireless mouse. Bluetooth or 2.4 gHz? - RAMd®d - 06-21-2019 I like BT over RF (2.4GHz). Mainly because it doesn't take up a port. Re: Wireless mouse. Bluetooth or 2.4 gHz? - Sarcany - 06-21-2019 Depends upon how modern the computer is. If it has BT 4 or 5 then go with BT. The 2.4GHz radios on mice and keyboards are prone to RF interference from sources such as WiFi and cell phones and pretty much anything with a motor. This is also true with older BT implementations, but BT4/5 have error-correction that negates most of the effects. |
