Select & Cut the entire post. Replace with a . or ? Post Go back & edit, replacing the single character with the cut post (paste). Save Should post as normal. Don't know why, but it always works for me. Re: Phorum database error occurred. - RAMd®d - 09-10-2019 Yes, it's most likely some kind of special character, or a 'typical' letter, number, or character that looks 'normal' but isn't an accepted unicode character. I've had that same problem a few times, and solved it by typing in the text instead of CnP'ing it. But that's a no-go on longish articles. I wish there was an app that could divine what a site finds acceptable, then show what characters in sample text in red as not acceptable. But it's not that big of a deal to me. Re: Phorum database error occurred. - pdq - 09-10-2019 I look for long hyphens, curly quotes, or underscores in the text (which usually get in there if you’re cutting and pasting some of your post from another source). Also, I discovered the other day that you can’t use any iOS emojis. |
