Took her medicine like a champ. Now... let's see what happens to the people in the universities that accepted this bribery and nonsense. The punishment for accepting a bribe should be worse than the punishment of giving the bribe.

....this is for a $15,000 crime which hurt no one [ really - even though it was questionable morally ] and she is a 1st time offender.....seems on the harsh side to me.....

I don't think so. She admitted she was wrong. She wanted what she thought was good for her kids. Those who did NOT admit guilt deserve much more, and those who TOOK the bribes also deserve much, much more.
How about the affluenza teenager who killed several people? that is a slap on the wrist if you ask me.

Possibly a bit of a slap on the wrist, but in line with first time offender sentences.
She also gets a year of probation, 250 hours of community service, and a $30,000 fine.
