Something about NBC jumping on the pay to play streaming service wagon just chapped my hide, and now I’m over the idea of actually watching whatever I want, whenever I want. Somethings are going to have to wait, and some will probably slip between the synapses into oblivion.
So my ISP sticks around along with, for now, HBO. There are two special cases. My PBS subscription stays as thats an important resource I want to continue to support, and Amazon Prime Video, as that’s an added value for me since I want the Prime delivery service regardless.

OTA all the way. You have one chance to watch it Live. Peruse the tv guide and plan ahead.

Now days, the really worthwhile stuff isn’t on OTA for the most part.

We got the cheapest TV plan we could get then added the pay stuff.
And its still too much. Only real bonus is our net. 55/15 constant 24/7 and unlimited data. Never a hiccup. plenty fast even with 4 (ab)users We have gone over 1 TB, not a prob. its $30/mo... :wink:

Its a bundle. As long as we have DTV + net = unlimted. I guess they dont want us to complain about streaming all their DTV stuff but then going over the limit?
I know I can get xfinity here -- and it might be faster, but no idea on throttling or 1 TB limit... and price...

From what you’ve said, here it’s faster (150Mbps promised, 160-175Mbps typical), but there is a 1TB cap. You get two “complimentary overages” when you sign up, after that, over 1 TB they charge $10 for every 50GB increment over the terabyte. I’ve never gone over, so I’m not sure about throttling.

....most of the OTA network stuff can be watched via app within 1-7 days for free......you just have to use the network apps or their online via their website.....

True enough; though we’ll see if they can resist the paywall temptation on those. The comments were in response to this.
