Word of caution, I have this switch and had to jury-rig a method of keeping the power cord securely in place. Fortunately, I have a 3d printer, so a printed a keeper that improved retention. If you use this where the cord won't get jostled, you shouldn't have an issue.

Just curious - if you basically have to have WiFi these days (TV’s, smart thermostats, doorbells, etc, etc) and most cable modem-y things have both WiFi and a couple of ethernet LAN ports, what do you use a switch like this for?

WiFi: subject to interference and 'intrusion'.
Cat6: constant high speed and more secure.
I only use WiFi in the house when there's no other choice (iPhone/iPad, etc.).
Everything else is Cat6 wiring.
My setup--
Router to MP & 8-port Gigabit switch.
8-port:
Router (source), 2x Printers, Obi VOiP, NAS, HD HomeRun, 5-port @ A/V, 1x open.
5-port:
8-port (source), TV, ATV, BluRay, A/V Receiver.

I’m slowly transitioning to Ethernet Cat6a in my house. Nothing like a solid connection, no interference.
My son loves it. No more, why is it buffering from wife on TV. It’s Wi-Fi is slow.
Yes some devices are Wi-Fi only like Ecobee /wyze/ Ring cams.

Anyone know if this supports link aggregation?
The description says it supports QoS but a question in the listing suggests it doesn't support link aggregation fully. I'd like to link aggregate on my Mac Pro and QNAP NAS.

You sure your NAS can handle more throughput? Unless you have SSDs installed I don't think the extra network bandwidth is going to help you much.
Edit: Switch says it is unmanaged. That means no link aggregation or bonding and no support for multiple VLANs.
