It’s nice to know someone has more Re: FOR SALE: the Mac hoard (a LONG list) - PeterB - 10-14-2019 Speedy wrote: Actually it's not all (really) mine. A lot of it is discards from my institution, where I just said ... nahhh, just can't let that go into the dumpster. Examples of that, the Pismos and a couple of iMac G4's (the latter are already sold). Re: FOR SALE: the Mac hoard (a LONG list) - hal - 10-15-2019 wow! I thought I once had a problem. I feel much better about myself now, thanks :-) and good luck finding new homes for this stuff. Re: FOR SALE: the Mac hoard (a LONG list) - PeterB - 10-15-2019 I *did* say I had a problem ... though like I said, most of it is not in my house, rather it's at my workplace... Re: FOR SALE: the Mac hoard (a LONG list) - Buzz - 10-15-2019 That's a lot of space that'll be reclaimed! == Re: FOR SALE: the Mac hoard (a LONG list) - C(-)ris - 10-15-2019 Was hoping I could find a Mac Pro box at work to save that 2010, but no such luck. Re: FOR SALE: the Mac hoard (a LONG list) - mikebw - 10-15-2019 Hey that Brother 7820N (AIO) is still a decent unit I bet. I'm still using my Brother MFC-7345N for home use, mostly as a printer, but also for the occasional copying and scanning. If you kept anything I think it should be that. Re: FOR SALE: the Mac hoard (a LONG list) - Racer X - 10-16-2019 Can you get me the specs of that Mac Pro Peter? I may be interested, and I have a Mac Pro box. Re: FOR SALE: the Mac hoard (a LONG list) - Michael - 10-20-2019 PeterB wrote: My institution simply won't allow that. It HAS to go to surplus and they sell it (but not to us!) or dispose of it. When they toss stuff they hire some guy with a truck who supposedly hauls it to the landfill. I've always found it interesting that they don't have our guys and our truck haul stuff to the dump, but there it is. I lost a number of old Macs that way years ago. And, interestingly enough, I bought some old Macs (for almost nothing) from a sister institution years ago. It was a struggle to keep our people from putting our college id tags on those computers but they finally figured it out. |
