... from a scientific perspective, what strikes me about this virus is that despite the genome being very large for an RNA virus, it doesn't actually encode that many gene products:



... I'd find it hard to believe that there aren't a number of novel ways to vaccinate against these viruses and/or prevent their entry into human cells...

Edit: oh, and the possible connection to the pangolin poaching trade is sad and disturbing...
