alkaline batts - Fritz - 05-04-2020

between quar and the fact that many "pro" TVtronics now use proprietary batts, I'm in the market for AA and AAA.

I have only had Duracell coppers the last 20 years.
Any opinions on whether there is a real difference between them and bulk batts like Beezee batts or Kirkland or ...
The bulk batts are often 1/2 the price or less.
24 Dura AAA $16.
24 Anker AAA $7.
36 Basics AAA $10.

Nothing mission critical. Remotes. BT keyboards. blah, blah, blah.

I think I answered my own question.

thanks for the link. pretty interesting.
Amazon it is.
1/3 more gas for 2x the $, not worth it for these purposes.
Too bad he didn't check the Ankers, but they may be new to the show.

What's "quar"?

Re: alkaline batts - Fritz - 05-04-2020

quarantine. I'm very keyboard lazy. Very.

I prefer the Hillerich & Bradley Louisville Sluggers.

I don't put alkaline batteries into remotes anymore. They leak too much.

I use lithium batteries for remotes.

The only thing I use alkaline batteries in anymore is a metronome that takes a nine volt battery. It's an inexpensive device that needs a new battery fairly often, and it's' not worth spending $8-10 on lithium batteries for it.

I'd agree with that, but at those prices, I'll put a reminder in the calendar and put in new every year instead of waiting for the fail.
