Ive read some of that techy stuff on the RTL chip... if theres an advantage over the JM chip -- only a computer benchmark could tell.

There are a smaller power draws and a little less heat (the enemy of als drives) but in an external enclosure, its minimized.

The RTL chip is newer, which might account for the better performance.

Don’t know enough about these cases, but here’s one for $12.99 after coupon, with free shipping. Different chipset tho. (Found via slickdeals).

Completely different case. That's an M.2 SATA not NVMe and it's only USB 3.0.
That's why it's so cheap.

I told you I didn’t know about these cases.

But I know a little more now. Thanks.

I feel your pain.

I had to make a little spreadsheet just to keel interface protocols and transfer rates straight.
