Can a person get into trouble buying medicine from a canadian website that is not over the counter in the usa?

If it is a Generic you can get it cheap at Wal-Mart or Target $4 or $8 per month

My dad was DEPENDENT on a Canadian company to supply his heart medicine -- at US prices, his prescriptions would have roughly equaled his annual salary!
I'll try to find out what site/company he used and report back.
Two thoughts to keep you busy:
1. The drug companies make nearly all of that stuff here in the US. THEN ship it to Canada where the gov't controls the pricing, THEN it gets re-imported into the United States at a profit to the Canadian companies, and the drug companies STILL make money even though the price (after everyone takes their cut) is half or less the US price.
2. I find it amusing that American patients will go to extraordinary lengths (and pay WAY more than anyone else in the world) to maintain a "everybody profits but me" business model almost entirely for the benefit of the drug companies. The ONLY reason Wal-Mart etc have lowered drug prices (at a SEVERE loss to themselves) is because of the market pressure of Canada. But we couldn't POSSIBLY develop a health care system that is similar but better than the Canadian model (ie the basic system of healthcare used by the entire rest of the world). NONONONONONO, it can't be done, it's impossible!

I've used MedCenterCanada for my expensive, non-generic prescription drugs. They are courteous, competent and yes, at least 1/3 cheaper. Only downside is shipping time- up to two weeks.
However, if I read davemchine right, he is looking to buy drugs that are prescription only in the US without a prescription. A legitimate pharmacy won't do that.

I buy several drugs from Canada. One would cost me $240/month at Costco but only $45/month bought from Canada and shipped from the UK. But I know nothing about getting drugs without a prescription.

don't know for sure if there is an exact correlation here, but my MIL started buying her meds from Canada, and it saved her a bunch of money... that was after she realized that she and her hubby had probably signed up for the wrong medicare supplement program that didn't have as good a prescription benefit as she would have liked. she was all proud of figuring out the Canadian med thing, which made her really happy. then she died, which made the rest of us all sad. so the correlation seems to be, if you want to die happy, and leave a bunch of sad relatives in your wake, buy meds from Canada... after all, how much trouble can you get into anyway once you're dead?

I have bought meds for my cats from AmericanaMeds and CanadaPharmacy. Your doctor (or vet) has to fax them a prescription. Neither of these places will sell you any prescription meds without a prescription.
I saved quite a bit of money on medication for several kitties. Americana's prices aren't as low as they were a few years ago.
Some allergy products that require a prescription here are available without one there: Allegra and Zyrtec, possibly others.
