This is from a local Repub caucus. Sounds like a plan that will work if you don’t want to limit guns or keep every Tom, Dick and Harry from flooding our streets with a firearm.Confusedmiley-shocked003:
Matt doesn’t believe in abortion or requiring a licenses for occupations.

Gun Rights advanced in Texas last week!
Constitutional Carry passed the TX House (State Representative Matt Schaefer’s bill HB 1927) for the first time in Texas history, and we got a step closer to joining 30 other states with some form of permit-less carry.

First, What Happened
The sizeable margin of victory for final passage of CSHB 1927 by State Rep. Matt Schaefer (Tyler) was 87-58 with one Republican voting “no” – Morgan Meyer of HD 108 (Dallas). One Republican was present – not voting: Angie Chen Button (Richardson). Click here to read the full report.

Second, Texas-Sized Thanks
We appreciate the statesmanship demonstrated by Rep. Matt Schaefer as he courageously and patiently defended our rights for more than 6 hours on the House floor

Texans need that right to protect themselves from crazy mass shooters.

Doesn't believe in licenses for occupations?
Well, I guess that goes along with individual rights.
After all, if a barber wishes to remove an appendix, why should the government decide whether or not he can do this? History is on his side.

Free market uber alles.

Yeah, that should work.

Say, who’s the barber here?

Re: Thank you, Texas - Lemon Drop - 04-19-2021

Looks as though the Texas Senate does not have the votes to pass this stupid bill.
