Had you previously gotten the Shingrix vaccine for shingles? Apparently a number of the folks who have gotten shingles after getting the corona vaccine had NOT gotten the Shingrix beforehand.

No I haven't received the Shingrix vaccine. Until reading a discussion here at MacResouce the other day, I hadn't even heard of it.
Definitely get it at some point. Like any vaccine, it's not 100% (I think the estimates for efficacy of that one are in the ballpark of 70%?), but as anyone who's had shingles would tell you -- you'd much rather get the shot, than get the shingles. (I myself was fortunate that my case of shingles was relatively mild ... but I know people for whom the pain has been excruciating, and of those, one person who has more or less had to be on permanent pain meds because of it...)
