I used to read this blog often; I had almost forgotten about it when I found the bookmark on an older Mac I don't browse on much. The author does not update like he used to, but felt the need to reflect on the insurrection in D.C. back in January.

This writer does not mince words, and many of them are strong and/or offensive. Gentle readers may want to avoid it.

It's also a LONG post. Skim if you please, but do take in the poem at the end, an homage to The Fall of Rome by W. H. Auden.

Well, back on January 12 it might have made sense, but I think it's pretty clear that the DOJ is serious about finding and charging the capitol invaders, and they seem to be doing a pretty good job of finding the first 400. Maybe that's ten or twenty percent of the total -- does anybody have a good estimate of how many people actually got inside? In any case, the feds will keep those people sweating for quite a while, and meanwhile will try to get a few of them to name more names, which will have a positive effect for the country because it will make them suspicious of each other.

I really couldn't get through the whole thing. The guy is just too wordy and redundant.
