MWSF07: What I thought I was going to see (or wanted to) - Zoidberg - 01-09-2007 * Intel QuadCore into Mac Pro (probably by WWDC07) * 30" iMac (really) * MacBook Sub (sub notebook) with new solid-state HD * 100GB iPod 5G with regular iPod screen & scroll wheel * 100GB iPod 6G with touchscreen (if above not announced) * New Cinema Displays with built-in iSight (which is still AWOL @ Apple.com) * iLife '07 * iWork '07 * .Mac 2007 Speaking specifically of the last three, did these get announced but I missed them? [EDIT]From http://www.tuaw.com : 11:05 PT. What we didn't see. Leopard ship date. iWork. iLife. Core 2 Duo mini. Oct-core pro's. Universal Apps. High Def at the iTunes store. Any computer hardware outside the new iPhone. .Mac updates or revisions. Adobe. Re: MWSF07: What I thought I was going to see (or wanted to) - Zoidberg - 01-09-2007 I was about to add "802.11n Airport Extreme" but, per a thread a few down, sure enough one was announced with no fanfare: http://www.apple.com/airportextreme/ ![]() Finally, more than one Ethernet port. I know all about hubs and such, but nice that it's already all there. Re: MWSF07: What I thought I was going to see (or wanted to) - Chupa Chupa - 01-09-2007 But no AP Express. I hope they are going to release a 801.11n express. I don't need the extreme, I need the express. Apple clearly wanted 100% of the media's attention on the iPhone. Given how the stock shot up it was the right call, even if some of us feel a bit unsatisfied. I can't wait for the next Apple Event for Jobs to expose the missing Mac products. |
