I could never appreciate those big spoilers. IMHO, they ruin the appearance. Rarely do those cars that have them go fast enough to benefit from them.
I really like everything else about the cars.

That particular vehicle had the wing for actual aerodynamic purposes rather than being a silly styling affectation like the clothes racks hanging from the trunks of so many recent ricers. The Dodge Daytona/Superbee was a limited production vehicle produced solely for the purpose of NASCAR racing.

Exactly! OTOH, since the drivers are all driving the same car (with difference stickers) current Stock Car racing really is a test of Drivers, not hardware.

I always thought those cars were butt ugly, even when they first came out.
I know they were fast, but they look awful, to me.

Ditto, though as I mentioned above, the sheetmetal on this version of the Roadrunner/Superbee was created solely for the purpose of racing aerodynamics and was not a styling exercise at all.
