New Dune Trailer - Rolando - 07-26-2021

Just watched the 2nd trailer for Dune
https://youtu.be/oPbQXnUTkUU
Directed by Oscar Villaneuve --- that's a good thing.

Looks good.

I love the book so much, I can ID pretty much where every scene will be.

This will be a two part movie, which is good.

I know there will be some changes, including one character having a sex change, but I don't think it will affect the overall story much.

Yeah, that was the only odd thing that I noticed. Of course, they do this in the recent version of the stand as well.

If it gets more people read the novels, I’m all for it.

Dang. An A list of who's who for the characters. I'm excited.

Sex change? I missed that. But, if gender is not critically germane to the story, then why not. Sci Fi has generally historically been a sausage fest.

Yeah, but last time they had Patrick Stewart, Kyle MacLachlan, and Sting.

I rather enjoyed the ~2000 Sci Fi Channel version.
