If you're not going to entering offers, why accept them? (eBay) - deckeda - 01-10-2022

$31.99 BIN

I offered $24 and got a counter offer of $31.

My counter offer of $28 was rejected. Fingers crossed for $29. Wheeeeee!

If this guy wants to keep working for an extra dollar I can accommodate.

Edit:
$29 was met with a counter offer of (again) $31.

I'm up to $30 now. Wheeeeeee!

I’ve had this happen also. I just don’t get it.

I’ve gotten the same BS.

It's just fishin', wiggling the worm to get a bite.

yep... you're engaged - that's always step in completing a sale.

Then there are people who offer you $60 on a $160 item, with no shame.

Or even $45 on a $65 listing.

This why when I turn on accept offers, I set a minimum so nobody's time is wasted. I think eBay sets it low by default, and many people don't change it.

Hey, if you're taking offers, I'll offer what it's worth to me. If that's $60 for an item you, or even the market thinks is worth $165, that's fine--turn me down. Not a big deal, really.

I offered $28 for a $30 Wyze cam and it was rejected. So, I went to Home Depot and bought a new one for $36 (I think...). Yesterday I got an email that the one I had offered had been relisted. Whatever...

This happens to me often and I just shake my head. I offer a dollar or two below BIN, and they reject it, and then it doesn’t sell.

Done this too many times, and yeah, I'm one of the guys who offers what I think is fair-even if it's less than half the asking.

Once in a while I get a ticked off response "Offering X for an item listed at XXX is ridiculous". Used stuff has little resale value for starters, and an offer from me is like gold-I offer X and you accept, you're paid within two hours.

Of course the stuff shows up again "Everybody deserves a second chance" No, not really.
