Hope this is just the beginning.
Russian billionaire Alisher Usmanov was sanctioned by the European Union on Monday. Two days later, Forbes has learned from three sources in the yacht industry that one of his prized possessions—the 512-foot yacht Dilbar, valued at nearly $600 million—has been seized by German authorities in the northern city of Hamburg.

That's a big boat. One thing I don't understand is that all of the outdoor decks appear to be in the shade. No sundecks, or swimming pools for that matter. Do these guys just spend all their time indoors? If so, why have a yacht?

Ooops. The Forbes story has been updated and apparently the yacht has NOT been seized.

UPDATE: According to the Ministry for Economy and Innovation in the German state of Hamburg, the country’s authorities have not seized the Dilbar, a 512-foot yacht owned by sanctioned Russian billionaire Alisher Usmanov.
The yacht is registered in the Cayman Islands and owned through a holding company, making it difficult to tie directly to Usmanov for the purpose of sanctions. In its statement, the ministry in Hamburg added that restrictions can be imposed on a yacht owned by a sanctioned Russian individual only “if the ownership situation is clearly clarified and all these possessions are also sanctioned.” The ministry confirmed to Forbes that the yacht is still in the dock at the Hamburg shipyards of Blohm+Voss.

Yeah, very weird. But this looks to accommodate his helicopters and is apparently quite commodious given all of those decks.

Declare the dock Ukraine sovereign territory, maybe a temporary embassy or something.
Ukraine Navy commandeers it for national defense operations.
Sail it in to the sunset.
Return territory to Germany.
