Russia and Social Media Irony? - gadje - 03-05-2022 Didn't they ban Facebook and Telegram in Russia? ![]() Russia’s flagship air carrier Aeroflot said Saturday it would temporarily halt all international flights — except to Belarus — starting Tuesday. Russia’s biggest state-owned airline cited “circumstances that hinder operating flights” as a reason for its decision. “For passengers who will remain abroad by the time the flights stop, the airline will make its best efforts to organize their return to Russia,” the Aeroflot said in a Facebook post. “Passengers of canceled international flights may apply for a full refund.” Aeroflot said it would continue flights within Russia, as well as to and from neighboring Belarus. Russian state news agency Tass also confirmed the news on its official Telegram page. The majority replied, writing that vpns were in use. Re: Russia and Social Media Irony? - gadje - 03-05-2022 August West wrote: And what did they say? really, I am very curious. Thanks Re: Russia and Social Media Irony? - August West - 03-06-2022 I only asked if they were able to use FB, due to reading about the ban. I would not ask them to put their opinions about the war in a way that could be retained. I'm sure you've read the new laws against anyone who expresses dissent. When I learned about the filtering of anti-war text in internet traffic, I began posting pictures of western news sources, and I believe that has been welcomed, but i won't ask.
