Had a bad dream this morning - Rolando - 03-10-2022 It woke me up. President Biden's emergency address to the nation: "Half an hour ago, A Russian nuclear weapon destroyed Kyiv. This is a red line our nation cannot countenance. Accordingly 5 minutes before this address, An American nuclear missile has destroyed the Russian port facilities at Vladivostok, in the Russian Far East. All our forces on highest alert now. May God Bless our Nation and the World" fade to black, News cuts in: "Russian President Vladimir Putin's body has just been found, dead of an apparent 'suicide'. Vice President Blahblahblahsky has declared a ceasefire in Ukraine and a period of mourning." I hate it when I wake up scared. Re: Had a bad dream this morning - Carnos Jax - 03-10-2022 F'k dude! Re: Had a bad dream this morning - Don C - 03-10-2022 My middle of the night wake up call had Putin damaging any number of those nuclear power plants allowing radiation to spread over large parts of Ukrainian farmland. It would then travel around the world. No nukes fired off. Re: Had a bad dream this morning - p8712 - 03-10-2022 Don't worry. I doubt there will be just ONE missile used by both sides. You won't wake at all. Re: Had a bad dream this morning - PeterB - 03-10-2022 Why settle for vague bad dreams? Watch these, then you'll REALLY have bad dreams. https://www.imdb.com/title/tt0085404/ https://www.imdb.com/title/tt0090163/ https://www.imdb.com/title/tt0086429/ (All three are excellent, btw ... I'd have to argue that the last one is actually the best of the three though.) And as for your poll, in what way do you mean "respond" ? Respond can mean lots of things, ranging from a full-on nuclear response, to a black-ops assassination of one particular individual. Re: Had a bad dream this morning - vision63 - 03-10-2022 Nukes is off the table for Russia. That immediately makes it a World War. One that Russia would royally pay for immediately within minutes. Putin would be assassinated in short order. In the big scheme Russia and China could be in the throes of shifting the world order. But it would have to be conventional because neither country would survive nuclear options. Russia is just going to keep ratcheting up the destruction to goad the US directly into the fray. The US isn't going to bite, despite many ignorant US citizens desperately wanting us to. Y'all need to fire up the WOPR and game this thing out. ![]() Re: Had a bad dream this morning - Ombligo - 03-10-2022 The first nuke is an abomination, the second one is armageddon. Re: Had a bad dream this morning - DeusxMac - 03-10-2022 Russia has absolutely no need to use nukes to overrun Ukraine.
