After my 6 month ordeal with Amazon ( https://forums.macresource.com/read.php?1,2737593,2737629#msg-2737629 ), I finally got my MBP.
I got the 14 inch model with the 10 core processor, 16 core GPU, 16 GB ram, and the 1TB SSD.
I went from a 2008, 15 inch MBP, and I appreciate the smaller size form, especially the lighter weight.
It is amazingly fast, the screen is beautiful and the Touch ID seems really convenient.
Definitely smaller, but I don't miss the extra screen space or extra heft. Also, the battery life is amazing. With a new battery, my 2008 MBP might go 2 hours, so far I can go for days with casual use without recharging.
