QuickTime and Flip4Mac problem? - JEBB - 02-04-2007
QT Player 7.1.3, Flip4Mac 2.1
When I try to see some Yahoo News videos QT will start but the video won't and I get the message: "Alert: The URL is not valid".
Any ideas how I might solve this?

Me too, I uninstalled flip4mac with their uninstaller and installed a new copy.. that fixed it.

I too uninstalled Flip4Mac with their uninstaller and reinstalled it but that didn't fix the problem. I'll try again. Maybe there was a file left somewhere that I need to find and destroy?

yahoo seems to ignore the mac platform on a regular basis, i can only hope that google keeps growing to overtake yahoo...

i was wondering if you have actually managed to solve your issue. i have exactly the same one but despite having installed flip4mac more than 5 times, i still get the same alert message.
can you help?

I've come to realize that Flip4mac allows QuickTime to play videos that require Windows Media Player 9. Those needing WMP 10 and above won't play.
