Started by being pulled into a phone call with irate people who got themselves into a jam. No actually it started with an email complaining about some crap people did that THEY manage. This is where I say, I’ve been telling you this would happen for 2 years without saying, told you so.
My job isn’t stressful, but today I’m looking for the exit lane and I’ve got 3 more workdays this week. Gonna be fun.
My highlight was yesterday, when someone asked me for next steps for getting approved and he’s committing a trademark infringement against us! He wants to become one of our instructors but he’s already calling himself that on LinkedIn, on top of the trademark violation that looks like he’s maybe using our copyrighted material.
“Sounds good, oh and send me your presentation slides.” Oh I don’t have the slides, they were provided to me … “No problem, who’s your contact? Happy to help get those copies.”
Crickets. Did I mention one of the docs he sent me — all proud of his capabilities — was some random contract from whoever agreed to host him, stating he had to supply all teaching content?

We're going to need you to stay a little bit later, maybe an hour or so to wrap up a couple of things. I didn't think you'd mind. The request came down from corporate.

Never saw the movie but know the reference.
I just now sent an apology email to someone who was offered a FREE pilot course, they had responded to our survey with their interest in attending, and jumped all over us saying they never signed up for this, why are you sharing my email, you should let us know what this is about. Nevermind the email they received 2 weeks ago when enrolled.

“Ok, now I checked back in my incoming box all the way down to Feb 1. Yes, I have received that email from [where deckeda works]. Seems this target to beginners. I skip this time. Thank you and have a great evening.”
You’re welcome! And I just posted yer email online to an obscure computer-ish forum!
(English isn’t this person’s primary language, so please ignore the odd grammar — theirs … my grammar is reliably beyond the pale. )
