They are? I think he has that wrong: An iTunes track is playable on an iPod...and a Mac and a PC and some Motorola cell phones. Oh, if you burn it to a CD, it's universally playable. AFAIK, the iTunes Store's tracks are the only DRM'd music that can claim such wide applicability.
