Can't afford much.
Any ideas for accommodations for me in the valley, westside or south bay? My family no
longer has room. Under an interchange? Recovery house? Camping?

Depending on what you want to spend. You can rent a house, but there is always the Oakwood corporate housing. I've stayed in the one in Marina Del Rey. http://www.oakwood.com/
