Couldn't get Mail.app to check my @mac accounts; it's a hiccup that happens sometimes so I tried to access http://www.mac.com and I get no love (i.e., no page load). Apple.com seems to be working fine, but the .Mac tab is no go.
Will probably fix by the time I post but I thought I'd bring up yet another "out of my control" topic and see if anyone else was having the same issue(s).

Same here, it happens so frequently I don’t even bother paying attention, just another day when their service is temp unavailable. Always good to have multiple email accounts with other providers just for this type of problem, it happens to all of them, but I admit .Mac is the most frequent offender.

Yeah, I have several gmail accounts and a few from my own domain. I started using the .Mac one as the primary for a lot of reasons but, agreed, it is the worst offender in terms of stability.

Since they moved to the new web mail I've been very impressed with their increased reliability. But like the rest I am down and out today.

Yep. I'm trying to log in to .Mac mail--not much success.
Had no problem early this morning.
It's a couple of minutes later (am editing this post). Success!
(logged in from work thru Safari).

.mac and yahoo..both have been wonkey lately .mac more so...ouch~!~
