They're codes that take you to a legit dl site, and after you install, you can look yourself up om M$'s site, and you'll be there....

Both my wife and I have Office 2021, I think purchased from StackSocial. I believe we paid $39 for it when we bought it. Also purchased one for a PC for my son. Perfectly legit as far as I can tell. Every time I fire up one of the programs, it verifies with Microsoft. You do have to set up a Microsoft account.

I use Pages and Keynote when given a choice, Office only for work where we have to use those.
Excel seems to be far more versatile than Numbers, however.
